1924 Baby Book

I found this baby book at the flea market.  It's rather incredible.  I noticed that the person who put it together cut up postage stamps to hold her pictures in place.  I thought that was very unique & something we could use today in our grungy look.  I haven't seen pictures placed in an album in this manner before.  My guess is that she had to use what was available.  When there is no internet & no UPS and town is far, one has to be creative to get the job done, and that she did.  You can't see the stamp pieces real clear in the photos but in the book it's quite obvious.

My sister & I recently visited the Webster Flea Market & it was delightful.  They are only open on Monday's and they close @ 3 p.m.  It's a short day if you get their late.  We had lots of fun and here are a few of the things we saw.

I recently ordered a kit from Carol Wingert's site call "Creatologie"  I loved putting it together.  It's not quite done but thought I'd post a picture of the front page anyway.  I will post more picture of it later.  Her web site if you interested in taking a look-see or think you might want to order one is:  www.carolwingert.typepad.com/creatologie

Oh, Dear..... Late to Work!!

I had a flat tire on the way to work the other day. With the help of AAA & my DH, I finally made it to work. I had to buy 2 new tires, though. Here's something I didn't know until yesterday. When you buy new tires, they can't put the new ones on the front even if you want them to. It's a safety thing, which is always good, but you'd think they would be best on the front. Oh well, that's my story & I'm sticking to it.  Later....

"His Needs Are Great....."

I've been working on a piece that includes paper, fabric & transparencies. It's an on going project. Maybe I'll do a series of these -- we'll see. I really enjoy working with these mediums. The quote is from the James Bond movie "Thunderball".
